Under the state contract, the parent company of VIS Group’s construction division will perform works on the construction of the overpass connecting Volkovskoye Highway with Mira Street in the Mytishchi city district, Moscow region. The work is slated for completion in 2028.

Volkovskoye Highway is one of the busiest roads in the region. The new overpass will make it possible to arrange the outflow of vehicles from Mytishchi under the new barrier-free scheme. In addition, it will allow vehicles driving out of Moscow to make a U-turn back to Moscow via a roundabout. Now the U-turn is only possible via a turn on Mira Street and a subsequent U-turn at the intersection with Borisovka Street, or in other remote places.

The project envisages a four-lane overpass (2+2) spanning approximately 500 m, or 900 m including approaches. Exits with 1 or 2 lanes on each side will be constructed on both sides of the highway all the way to the overpass. A sidewalk, storm drain system, and street lighting will be installed along the overpass. For people’s convenience, there is also a bus stop here.

A U-turn lane will appear under the Volkovskoe highway overpass in the direction towards Moscow before the roundabout. To improve pedestrian safety, two overpasses will be constructed: one next to the “Iyun” shopping center and near the “Lesnoi massif” stop.
